Google maps
I read Lancashire Evening Post on 23rd October. There are four news happen in Preston, then I used google maps to mark where are they.
The 1st news took place in the Old Fish Market. I mark it with a blue icon.
I choose it because I often go to there shopping, it is also a old market in Preston.
Beside, there are many activities held there.
The 2nd news is about National Football Museum.
I choose it because Prestonians are against the project that moving the museum to Manchester. They claimed " It is their museum.
This link is about the museum in Manchester Evening News.
The 3rd news happened at Preston Mail Centre. It talked about postal staff took part in strike.
This is a hot-spot news recently, so I choose it. The strik will delay mails sent, and bring some inconvenient things.
BBC news also reported this news.
The 4th news is a robbery which two thieves snacth a puupy in Avenham Park.
I think the news can remind us be careful when we are outdoor. We should keep our safety.
This link is another robbery happened in Preston.

Image processing tools
The original photo is the first picture below. The pixel of the photo is 1944 wide by 2592 high.

I use photoshop to crop the Lancashire County Council logo in 100*100pixel. This is a easy operation. I just open photoshop, then choose the "crop" sign, and type 100px on the blank which is on the top. Finally, crop the part which you want. The second picture is the outcome. Using the same operation, I cropped other two pictures, the third one is 400 pixel wide by 300 pixel high. The last picture is 200 pixel wide by 500 pixel high.
Photoshop also can do further operation. It is useful. In addition, there are many websites can do these functions directly, they are also convenient and easy to use. For example, http://www.webresizer.com/ is a use-friendly online tool of resizing and cropping. Just typing the site and uploading images, the website can do it as soon as possible.
